10 Quick Tips About Marketing Messages

What Happens When You Don't Have a Clear Message

If you don't have your marketing message nailed down, if you feel unclear about your marketing message, or if it just doesn't feel aligned, you'll want to see these 10 quick tips about your marketing message.  These tips are going to help you get super clear, grab your tribe's attention and help you stand out above all the noise online.

10 Quick Tips To Create A Marketing Message That Feels Aligned

So, let's jump right in:

1.  Articulate what it is that you do.

Try answering these 3 questions:  What are your talents, skills and gifts?  What do you love to talk about and teach?  What has your life set you up to be an expert at?

2.  Identify your ideal audience.

Who is your favorite type of client to work with?  Why do you like them? What values do you share?  Get to know as much about them as you possibly can.

3.  Identify your ideal audience's emotional pain.

There is the surface stuff that your clients come to  you with and then there's the deep-rooted issues that cause them emotional pain.  When you can dig down to the root issues, you will speak to them on an emotional level and their interests will be piqued.  You will get noticed by your ideal client when they know you understand them.

4.  Understand how what you do solves the problem that your ideal client has.

Be able to articulate what you do to help your ideal client and then how you provide the solution they want.

5.  Be able to state the results you get your clients.

When you explain what you do to your ideal client, you want to be able to identify the results you get them.  Anything else will be "nice" to know but won't get them buying from you.

6.  Explain the benefits of your solution to their problem.

What are the benefits to your ideal client when you solve their problem and pain with your product or service?

7.  Dig into your past and take a good look at your present to determine what makes you unique.

I believe we are all put here on earth for a purpose which is to serve with our gifts.  So what is it that sets you apart?  What are your gifts?

8.  Identify how the problem you solve has a unique twist that your competitors don't offer.

Let's face it, there are millions of people online and many solve the same problem that you do.  How do you go about doing it differently?  Why would your ideal client want to work with you and not your competitor?

9.  Communicate within your message what's in it for your audience (WIIFTM).

When you're creating your marketing message, you always want to communicate what is in it for them and not necessarily what you do.  Trust me, they won't hear you if all you talk about is you.

10.  Create a message that has language that resonates with your tribe.

This is a biggie.  If you speak with an experts point of view, your audience will not hear you.  Figure out what they want.  Ask them what their problem is.  You can always give them what you know they need but usually, that's not what they're looking for.  Meet them where they are.
